After a date, George just wants to simply make out with Beneatha, but Beneatha wants to talk something deep. Beneatha and George have different points of view in college. George thinks that he just needs the degree, but Beneatha believes that they need to read books and learn true stuff. They end up with unhappiness. Beneatha tells Mama that George is a fool, Mama agrees with her. Beneatha and Mama have a really strong connection at this point. Johnson comes over can tell Mama that white people in Chicago are crazy, They bombed out a black family. She wants Mama to reconsider the move. Ruth gets a phone call, the person tells her that Walter haven't been working for three days. Mama gives Walter the check and wants him to be the head of the family. Walter wants Travis to have a bigger dream other than just be a bus driver.
